Nights when we stood on clouds to speak about

the stars buried in tongues growing and sagging

our jaws to the future. How can you drink from

the river of truth? Hands to your ear hear the ocean

of lies washing the shores of your bloodline. The sunset

posed above like a spotlight shower each weighed

drop like hearts punching voiceboxes open.
